I founded One Balance with the sole purpose of helping others create a balanced and sustainable lifestyle for themselves that allows for a long and healthy, happy life. I myself have faced my fair share of challenges on the bumpy (and never-ending!) road to a well-balanced life, and am so passionate about the importance of living well both inside and out that I'm dedicating my life's work to helping others to do the same.

My Story

I'm a Bay-Area born wanderlust who finds the comfort of home right on my yoga mat, no matter where I am in the world. I first found yoga in 2005 back when I used to believe that I was physically incapable of touching my toes, but I was still pretty busy partying, eating junk food and being depressed to think that being more active taking better care of myself might just change my life.

It wasn't until a couple years later when I moved to the sunny beaches of Costa Rica that I realized a few crucial things: 1) I didn't like who I had become, inside and out, 2) I had the power to change and 3) getting healthy was the first step to becoming who I wanted to be.

That's when I changed my life. I started practicing yoga, surfing and paying more attention to the food I was eating. I lost 20 pounds, quit smoking and found a sense of inner happiness in this magical new place that allowed me to recreate myself into a happier and more mindful person.

When I returned to the U.S. in 2010 I was afraid that I would have some sort of crisis and revert back to my old, unhealthy ways. That's when I finally learned that wellness isn't something you find somewhere, it's something that you create from within and can take with you anywhere you want to go! It was so liberating, I want to help other people establish their own wellness and live upgraded lives as well!

Once I completed CorePower Yoga's Power Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2013, I knew I had found my path. I dove straight in and found myself living my dream teaching yoga and living in Hawaii just a year and a half later. I can honestly say I am the happiest I have ever been and I owe so much to yoga, the ocean and the courage to follow my heart and do what I love. If I could inspire other people to prioritize their own dreams and overcome doubt, fear and the other dark sides of life, it would be the greatest honor I can think to earn in life.
